A Dedicated Site Q

May 19, 2018

WHEN: 05/19/2018
QIC: RG3
PAX: Germ, Mothman, Flenderson, Rambler, and Toby the Dog

When YHC put the word on Slack about this morning’s Basecamp, the first response was from our beloved Site Q, Rambler.  Even though he’s on the DL/IR –with strict no-rucking instructions— he planned to joined the crew….on a bike!  Now that’s what I called a dedicated site Q.  Well done, Rambler and great to fellowship with you again, bro.

I planned progressive time hacks today as follows:

  • Mile 1: Fellowship Pace
  • Mile 2: 15 minutes
  • Mile 3: 14 minutes
  • Mile 4: 13 minutes
  • Miles 5-6: back to Fellowship

Results you ask? Well, it was clear that the under 14 mile wasn’t happening today we collectively agreed to stick with the 15 minute mile pace until the split on to the trails.

  • Mile 1: 16:30
  • Mile 2: 14:55
  • Mile 3: 14:57
  • Mile 4 – 6:  On the trails and much slower

Rambler and Moth peeled off once we hit the trails. YHC, Flenderson and Germ hit the trailhead by The wall AO and followed for several miles to Pokeberry bridge, with talk of Beavers.  We finished strong up BC parkway and finished with 6.4 miles.
