13 met at the Earl for a spring although still slightly chilly morning.

Warm Up
The warm up was an easy jog to the Roberson Creek Trail followed by some lower body stretching. We all know the phrase hindsight is always 20/20 but regular sight is a lot less in the early morning, but we moved out down the dark trail regardless.

Meat & Potatoes
Along the trail we stopped for several core and full body timed circuits of 30 seconds of each exercise

Jack planks, Russian twists, tap planks, and LBCs

Merkins, flutter kicks, and squat jumps/bench jumps (we might owe Chatham a new bench)

Once across the bridge moving lunges, moving squat jumps and moving planks up the trail back to the road.

On the way back a couple stops for some good wall exercises

First was
20xleg raises
20xflutter kicks
20xDerkins

Next was 30 seconds of Daniel-san Crane things (alternating feet on the wall)

And last was moving elevated feet planks

The workout was inspired by a phrase I learned a long time ago “variety is the spice of life but repetition is the meat and potatoes”. Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in complexities of life but simple repetitions of the basics can get you where you want to be wether that’s exercise or your job or taking care of your family.
