May 1, 2026 is World Push Up Day. At least that's what The Google says. And as any good Site Q should do, Pink Pirate double-checked the Workout Q's proclamation and confirmed that May 1st is, in fact, World Push Up Day. PP also noted that there is also an "International Puddle Jumpers Day" but we digress.
WARMUP: Usual stuff. Reviewed the Mission of F3 (plant, serve, and grow small workout groups for the invigoration of male leadership in the community) and the 5 tenets of F3 (Free; Open to All Men; Peer-led in a rotating fashion; occurs outdoors, rain or shine; and always ends in COT) while we warmed up & stretched.
THE THANG:
1. Elevens on Benches with Derkins and Dips.
2. Upper Body Beast. 6 exercises. 6 reps each for 6 rounds.
-Burpees
-HR merkins
-“Sho-dur” Taps
-One Calls (HRM into Shoulder Taps) (DeWater aptly noted that these tortuous things would be better if called 'Last Calls')
-Diamond merkins
-Dry Docks (pike push ups)
