THE THANG:
Set up Leroy Jenkins rule – anytime anyone feels like it, they shout Leroy Jenkins and we do a run around the market. As YHC was finishing up explaining the set up, Mate declares the first Leroy Jenkins, and off we go. During the lap, YHC finishes the rules, establishing that each PAX gets only 1 "Leroy Jenkins" callout, but since Mate jumped the gun, we'd allow him 1 more.
On to the workout!
Merkin Jax – Merkin Jax – Much like Captain Thor, this routine follows a 1:4 ratio. Exercises are Merkins and plank Jacks. Routine: 1 Merkin. 4 plank Jacks. 2 Merkins. 8 plank jacks. Up to 5/20 and back down the mountain.
Daft Punk – Lunge exercise performed in cadence with a cadence count that you cycle through three times (12 count move). Also sometimes know as the "around the world lunge" hence the F3 Moniker after Daft Punk's classic "Around the World." Right leg lunge forward (step back to center after each) / Right leg lunge sideways / Right leg lunge back / Left leg lunge back / Left leg lunge sideways / Left leg lunge forward. This completes one full Daft Punk.
CLIMB – C = Crab cake…L = Lunge…I = Iron Cross…M = Mountain Climber…B = Burpee. Number each exercise and ladder up through each rotation: round 1= 1C,2L,3I,4M and 5B then 2,4,6,8,10.
Jacked Up – A series of different types of jumping jack exercises performed with a descending count. A typical Jacked Up would go as follows: SSH x 50, Seal Jacks x 40, Plank Jacks x 30, Crossover Squat Jacks (aka Deny Terio) x 20, Smurf Jacks x 10.
If memory serves me correct, DOI called a leroy jenkins somewhere around here.
Squat Circuit – air squat, jump squat, pop squat, twist squat, pulse squat – 10 each, 2 rounds.
As we went over to the pavilion for the last set of exercises, Mate called out his second Leroy Jenkins.
At the pavilion we did 2 rounds of dips (feet on pillars) and homer to marge (feet up on the wall). 10x first round, 15x second round.
