The journey continues. We went back 10 years with an Assisi workout inspired by a seal-style workout called the Benoit. Since the Benoit is a bit longer than a normal bootcamp timeframe, Assisi cut the run from 1 to 0.5 miles, and cut out the 20lbs weight vest. Without knowing ahead of time, Nightshift actually came with his weight vest, so he gets credit for the Benoit-Medium, while the rest of us completed the "Benoit-Lite." Here's the OG workout.

WARMUP:
Side Shuffle Hop (10 IC), Willie Mays Hayes (10 tempo), Imperial Walker (10 IC), Hillbillies (10 IC), Michael Phelps (10 IC), Harvester (10 IC)
THE THANG:
It's pretty straight forward. 3 sets of 25 burpees, 50 merkins, 75 air squats followed by an 800 meter run (YHC tracked his first lap and it was 0.27 miles, so cutting the corners in this case got you exactly where you needed to be). As PAX finished their two laps, they would start to SSH, continuing until all PAX fell in line. After a recovery 10 count, the PAX all dropped into plank. To level the playing field a tiny bit, the last two PAX to finish their laps called out another 10 count then started their next round. Then the next two finishers called out 10 and started their round, until each pair of PAX called out a 10 count before starting their next round. We got all 3 rounds in with just enough time for a quick mary.
MARY:
Not-so-lazyboy
43 IC flutters led by Red October, who eagerly and enthusiastically called them out, with 30-39 a nice slow cadence.
ANNOUNCEMENTS / COT:
After an encouraging update from Spelunker, continued prayers for her recovery. Prayers for Yoyo as well as he ventures back into the Gloom tomorrow. Headspace shared appreciation for this group during his short time with us so far. We encouraged him to keep coming out as it's our honor and pleasure to having him join us.
Happy Passover to Coach K.
