8 PAX attended the 7/10 SLT meeting at the Casual Pint. The meeting opened by going around the table and talking about examples of positive developments and enthusiasm around the region. The Rooster hosted a mini-convergence with Conjunction Junction. Several new PAX are stepping into leadership roles as multiple AOs have had or will be having new AOQs brought in. Another successful Quarterly Report was hosted by the Hillsborough PAX and a great video recap of the event was made by Snooki.
Old Business
Kia will set up a conversation with Ft Worth PAX (Sensei) to discuss their use of Slack for backblasts, attendance data collection and personalized reports. The discussion will include Deepdish, Chowdah, and Spy Balloon has been brought in for his expertise
Cortes reached out to all AOQs about an emergency plan for each AO encouraging them to develop a plan and post it as a page on the AO’s Q sheet. 8 AOs have done this already. We also discussed each PAX having In Case of Emergency (ICE) contact as part of their Slack profile. Is there a way to audit this? Dinghy suggested a brief video demonstrating how to put your ICE contact info in your Slack profile.
The process has been started for a new regional gear order. There will be an emphasis on HiViz items
Chum reached out to all of the AOQs asking them about the coffeeteria culture at their sites. Most AOs have responded at this point. We then discussed adding coffeeteria information for each AO to the website
3rd F
We are still looking for someone to take over for Brotox as 3rd F Q
Expansion
Quint brought up the general topic of AO revitalization. What is the right way to go about making changes (day, time, new location) if that might be a positive change or even to shutter an AO entirely? Consensus is that the push for any change can/should be led by AOQs and have strong buy-in from the local PAX.
Cortes mentioned that the Hillsborough AOs have occasionally been having PAX attend from towns even further north (Creedmoor, Butner, others?). Is there an opportunity for Churham expansion that far north? Can we encourage and help with creation of a new region to serve PAX in that area?
