Day two of Pumpkin week started with a nice little kettle bell COW with YHC and Siesta, led by Imposter. In no time, the PAX started rolling in and we got a quick warm up before the ruck. The ruck consisted of two laps around the campus, stopping during the second lap for what has to be (in)famous in Circle City by now, the one and only Monkey Humper line (row? Show?!?!). We got 15 cadence monkey humpers in until a truck passed, regrettably without honking on his way by.
Once we finished, we had time for a little extra work, doing 10 squats and 5 merkins with our rucks on still. We closed out with some Mary, consisting of Asheville abs, getting us 100 reps of crunches in.
COT
For today, when asked for a new core principle, the PAX called out Rain or Shine. To YHC, this indicates that we are unafraid of the uncomfortable. 60 and dry is great weather for a workout. 35 and rainy sucks. But if we want to develop the habits and see results, we sometimes need to do the work in uncomfortable situations. This applies to our families, work, and communities as well. In order to grow, we can't stay in that dry 60* environment, we have to have the mental resilience to push through when the weather turns unbearably hot, or impossibly cold as well.
