7 PAX showed up on a rainy but mild morning at The Big Dance. This is Sweats’ last workout before the Ultrabeast Spartan in Vermont this weekend. YHC has only tackled the Spartan Super so far so has mad respect for anyone tackling the UB. For that reason, we will keep it simple today, work harder to get stronger but not punish ourselves. Sweats needs to be strong this weekend and we know he will be. Good luck to you and to Doogie.
Warmup: SSH, Willie Mays Hays, Squats, Mtn. Climbers, Merkins
The Thang:
Mosey to the tennis courts and circle up for a merkin ladder: hand release merkins on the way up and standard merkins on the way down. Hand release merkins in the rain on a soaking wet surface isn’t the friendliest way to get rolling but it gets being wet out of the way so you can go ahead and embrace the suck.
Next was the 4 corners escalator: Run to the first corner, 10 burpees, return. Run to the first corner, 10 burpees, run to the 2nd corner, 20 tuck jumps, return to start. Repeat the burpees and tuck jumps and add 30 WWII’s in the 3rd corner. Lastly, add 40 squats (30 standard and 10 jump squats) in the last corner.
1 min people’s chair on the fence followed by 1 minute of BTTW
Line up and bear crawl across all 4 tennis courts and jog back
Mosey to the covered shelter for a little reprieve from the rain. Dips x 15, derkins x 12, steps up x 10 each leg. Repeato all 3
