Happy birthday to me! YHC turned the boring uneventful age of 37 today. Burpees are one of YHC’s favorite exercises so the worked out started with a discussion of the possible number of burpees that could be completed to commemorate this special day (5/7/19) Possibilities included 5, 7, 57,. 37, 82, 1982.
WarmUp: 2 parking lot laps with high knees, butt kickers, backwards runs and high skips. One accelerator lap finishing at a sprint.
5 burpees OYO
23x seal claps
12x slow merkins
16x mountain climbers
22x slow squats
5x burpees OYO
Part1: Parking lot Usain Bolts, one at a time while the rest of the Pax alternated between low-jacks and plank jacks. Plus 10x burpees for fun.
Part 2: Mosey to the wall station to practice our foot work. Cycled through step ups, low & high wall kicks, even tried backwards wall kicks. I didn’t want to completely neglect the arms so we added some dips and derkins. Added 10x burpees to prepare for our travel to the playground.
Part 3: On the swings we did YHC’s other favorite exercises the V-ups (gotta get those abs looking good for bathing suit weather). We added in some lunge jumps, squat jumps and Australian pullups to complete this circuit. Finished with 10x burpees while enjoying the morning quiet.
Part 4: Back to the starting parking lot, YHC found some curbs for a set of low squat toe taps, up/down plank walks. Finished with 10x burpees to get us to a total of 50. At this point YHC had a dilemma… I wanted to do 32 more burpees, but I also wanted shred my abs… maybe I should have asked for more time for my birthday. Oh well, we did 7 more burpees for a total of 57 and then hit the Mary station.
Mary: only had 3 minutes left so we did 3 minutes non-stop of full situps with bars behind our heads, flutter kicks and v-sit holds.
COT: Enjoy this amazing F3 weather while it last and get out new Pax before its too hot.
