5 O’Clock Somewhere

4 PAX entered the Bullpen gloom prepared for anything. Our numbers were small but we powered on undeterred. We did start to get a bit lonely after a bit so fortunately Happy Trees joined us after his 7mile EC jaunt through town.

Warm- Up: SSH x 15 ; Windmill x 15 ; Willie Mays Hays x15 ; Slow Merkins x 15; Mountain Climbers x15; Inch Worms x 15; Overhead Claps x15; Arm Circles x15 Bone the Fish- Quick sprints forward/reverse x2; Left shuffle x2; Right shuffle x2; Carioca x2

The Thang: High Knees, Power Skips, Butt Kicks to the Crossfit Pull-Up Apparatus. Time for some 6 packs! Not beer unfortunately. A 6 pack pyramid consisting of pull-ups and diamond merkins. Start with 5 pull-ups to 1 merkin, then 4 pullups to 2 merkins all the way down to 1 pullup & 5 merkins then back up again.

Next mosey to the Hunt St. hill. There were 4 stations. Station 1 was a simple but effective sprint up the hill and back. Station 2 was peoples chair on the wall. Station 3 was doing wide grip merkins. Station 4 holds plank. PAX would rotate between stations once sprinter returned.

COT: Praying for special memories and bonding for Weenie Roast taking an overnight camping trip with his daughter.

Some others have mentioned the month of May being mental health month. Let’s continue to be cognizant and looking out for those we may be able to support that are silently struggling. As men we frequently want to put our heads down and power through these things when that’s the opposite of what we really need. Let’s be vigilant and think of those we may be able to extend a helping hand or word of encouragement.
