Turned out there were a few frills in this morning gloom pow wow around the outdoor education center at UNC. It was an honor to lead in this AO, the earliest recorded sighting of F3 in these lands we call Churham.
After Warmarama I led the PAX to Four corners of the Lowe parking lot, with some of my [favorite] least favorite exercises and mode of travel bear crawl the long sides of the parking lot, mosey on short sides.
-Diamond merkin 20
-Burpee w hand release merkin 20, but when the PaX arrived at 10 YHC called for a [10 count] story from Uzi’s global travels, asking said traveller, “what’s the craziest thing you saw in an airport during your trip?” His response seemed plausible, but highly unlikely as he procrastinated the remaining burpees with tales of encountering “Real Housewives of Ramallah”
-Crab Cakes 20 IC
– Makhtar N'Diaye 20 IC
Next we took to the steep part of the AO’s hill for some gravity-assisted core exercises. On our six, with 12 o’clock as feet pointing uphill, I’d call out a number 1-12 on the clock, adjust our position and I’d call out the cadence for the exercise
LBC IC x 10 against gravity at noon, then LBC IC x 10 to rip our abductors to shreds at 3 and 9 o’the’clock, followed by Heels to Heaven IC x 10 at 0600. Repeato.
We allowed for a respite of our abdominals and time traveling with a run in formation up to the upper parking lot.
Then we attempted to time travel again, but working our upper body in plank position for approx 8 minutes in all. We went around the clock 1-12 with varied plank exercises In Cadence simply up to 5: Plank Jack, Mtn Climber, Merkins, Superman, more Merkins, with a Downward dog 6pm Break, continuing around and finishing off with a round of 12 merkins at noon/midnight.
Recovery run back to the startex for Mary.
COT best wishes for a safe and merry New Years celebration. AYE!
