It's hard to believe that we've been working as a Shared Leadership Team for nearly 1 year. It has been an honor to have a leadership role on behalf of this amazing region, as well as to work along side these PAX since January. Tonight's meeting was the last SLT meeting for Nickelback, Uzi, and Boucher, who all agreed their term would end after 1 year ensuring the SLT has some staggered transitions, instead of a 100% turnover each January. In order to facilitate a smooth transition, we welcomed Brotox as our new 3rd F Q, and Cherry Baked as our new 2nd F Q. Our meeting broke from its traditional location of the Net Friends HQ, and headed to the slightly more raucous environs of The Casual Pint.

With general introductions, and words of thanks for our outgoing SLT members, we jumped into the business of the month.

Each month we start with on PAX sharing "Why Am I Here" to help center us and remind us of what we do as the SLT. Bump Draft shared his origin story tonight, thank you Bump.

Brotox contributed right away sharing that we are approaching the $17,000 mark for the holiday fundraiser. Some key ideas that have been implemented include the Hawthorne & Wood raffle offered by the Chatham boys, a potential auction for custom artwork by Sherwin on behalf of the North Durhamites, and myriad matching and contribution opportunities for picking up a Q (a non-comprehensive list of AOs that are sweetening the Q deal include: Animal House, TBR, Bastille, Pleasantville, TBL, and Hogan's Heroes).

Uzi added to the scoresheet with assists from Cherry Baked and Bellhop (via text) regarding the F3 Churham Holiday Party on 12/17 at the AC hotel in Chapel Hill. We have a $913 menu, and as of 12/10, we had $780 raised. If you want to donate, check the QR for Bellhop's Venmo on the Churham News channel. We'll be wrapping up the competitive section of the Holiday Fundraiser at 9 p.m. at the party. The 3rd F Qs will take the stage, then you're stuck with YHC sharing some words. Bring some cash, there may be some last minute contributions opportunities to add to the fun and games. Bring your Ms, and tell them not to worry, we'll have nametags for the PAX and Ms to wear, that way they know the hospital names for the PAX that you talk about at home.

Uzi chipped in another this time with an assist from Maraschino, reporting out on longer term campaign and them working on connecting with the F3 Foundation (F3F) to establish an account for our region to use for the improvement of our region and to help out PAX. As with many Qs, the mumblechatter rose here and we digressed into discussions about how we can use the Quarterly Report in the future to let the PAX know what we've accomplished, especially as our work with the F3F increases. More information will be discussed on this endeavor at the January 2023 meeting.

Maraschino continued lighting the lamp, with a helper from Bump to join him updating the SLT that the 1st QR of 2023, will be hosted by Os of Conjunction Junction (Wham-O and Yo Yo) on January 7. The SoDu boys have cornered the April 1 event, with the intent to have the QR at Tobacco Road. Ducks and Rabbits, what say you for July and October?

Vice, scoring from the Expansion Q position, jumped in here with updates from The Knight, our newest AO. Guesstimator and Sonicraut are crushing it! Montecristo led the charge for the hard launch with a birthday Q. Vice shared the support he's provided as well as the love the Pittsboro Pax have received from Boucher and the 1st F Qs. Cheers fellas for your contribution to expanding what we do to reach more PAX.

Botox again wheeled into action with discussion of metrics that we should consider tracking in 2023. Be on the lookout for opportunities to track the impact F3 Churham has on our broader area. Be thinking not of just funds raised, but how many hours we give, and how much weight we move in the year as part of 3rd Fs. More to come on this…

Scapula couldn't resist getting his two cents (plus some) with Ruck Updates. He reminded us of the Holiday Ruck, hosted by the Exchange. It is the premier 2nd F ruck opportunity in the region. Several Churhamites are joining the 12 mile Star Course in Raleigh on January 7. The big push is to get 100 PAX rostered for the quickly approaching Cloudbuster Tough. A homegrown ruck event to raise funds, and awareness for the Miracle Field, an inclusive baseball field being built near the Durham Bulls Athletic Park to provide people of all abilities the chance to play ball. WE HAVE A GOAL FOR 100 ROSTERED PAX FOR THIS EVENT. REACH OUT TO SCAPULA ASAP FOR INFO! Scapula is also leading the charge to resurrect the Global Post and to recognize PAX that reach 100, 200, and 300 workouts on the year.

YHC ground out the meeting with less exciting "work session". We discussed ideas from the SLT that I'll work through and flesh out over the next few weeks, heading into our January meeting. Those ideas will become our focus for 2023, so please keep an eye out for new info and some really exciting new goals for the coming year.

Thank you PAX for providing me the opportunity to lead this year, I look forward to continuing to Q the SLT in 2023, and the start of transitioning to a new Nantan in January 2024.

SYITG!
