Welcome OneDireciton as a new member of the Churham Pax, who moved to south durham all the way from Morrisville.

YHC got talked into doing a 26hour adventure race with his brothers this upcoming weekend, so today’s workout was inspired by the need to travel known distances and endure through pain.  As such we traveled 100m via multiple forms of motion and completed 100 reps of various exercise at the ends.  The warmup was slightly delayed as Floyd filled in YHC with the details of a drug bust that happened one street over from my house.

20x SSH

15x Merkins

20x Mountain climbers

1x Peanut lap

5x burpee

The Thang:  the soccer field at TR is 120 yards long.  But most topographic maps are measured in meters.  So with a little google searching and google conversion from yards to meters it was determined that 100m spanned from one end line to just past the goal box hash mark at the far end.  When you are lost in the woods without a GPS you best option is to know how many steps it takes you to cover 100m.  Once you can pin point where you are on the map (there are youtube videos to show you have to do that) you can find your way to a good landmark just by counting you steps (or so I am told).  So we conducted an exercise at each end (either 100 at each end or 50/50 depending on the exercise) then traveled the 100m while counting our steps.

  1. 25 burpees > 100m walk > 25 burpees > 100m walk
  2. 100 squats > 100m bear crawl
  3. 50 cadence plank jacks > 100m jog
  4. 50 cadence over head clap > 100m karaoke
  5. 50 cadence Johnny Dramas > 100m karaoke
  6. 25 burpees > 100m walk
  7. 25 burpees > 100m run away from a bear (ie. don’t be last)

Mary:  V-hold until everyone was gathered at the shovel flag, then 25 flutter kicks, then V-hold.  In order to maximize time name-o-rama was conducted while doing a final round of V-hold.

COT:  Prayers for YHC and everyone who may be partaking in extreme weekend activities.
