In the F3 spirit of getting stronger using what we have handy, a tree came down last year in the green space behind our house and I've been meaning to chop it up and use it somehow. This week, my vision became reality. YHC went out back with a hand saw (my father in law has the chain saw this week because of the hurricane) and cut two decently-heavy logs, and flipped them end-over-end to through the yard to the minivan. That was a good workout in and of itself, and I highly recommend it to my fellow PAX. YHC showed up this morning with logs and a plan. The PAX showed up with willingness to go along with whatever crazy scheme lay ahead.

For those interested, future Q's may involve more things like [this](https://www.artofmanliness.com/health-fitness/fitness/wwii-workout-week-log-exercises/)

### The Main Event
Count off, 1,2,1,2…etc. to split into teams. Each team held a log up over our shoulders and commenced a Ricky Bobby around the school to the dumpsters.
It was awkward at first, because the log is heavy and likes to roll, and the PAX had to coordinate while also navigating obstacles. But, everyone made it down without serious mishap.

We put the logs down for 11s. 10 merkins by the dumpsters, forward run down the parking lot, 1 merkin, backwards run back. And so forth.

We then lined up on our sixes, shoulder-to-shoulder and did a Ricky-Bobby-esque log carry down to the picnic tables. Both logs were overhead, dropping sawdust and who-knows-what into Geppetto's eyes. Once both logs were past, people in the back had to book it up to the front, lay down, and grab the logs as they came. The log innuendo was all you might expect with our mature Piranha crowd.

At the picnic tables, we left the logs for a bit and did three rounds of:
– Alternating step-ups x 20 IC
– Box jumps x 10 SC
– Dips x 10 IC
– Derkins x 10 IC

Then we went back the way we came, shoulder-to-shoulder on our sixes, moving the logs inexorably back to the dumpsters.

Once at the dumpsters, we set up a big Bearmuda triangle with cinder blocks. At each successive corner we did 1, then 2, then 3 burpees. We completed three rounds without being run over by a lunch lady.

Teams one and two picked up their logs and we Ricky-Bobby-ed back to StartX. This time was much more coordinated and we made it back for Mary.

### Mary

– Hello Dolly x 15 IC

### CoT
Just about 5 years ago I discovered F3. I'm grateful for the community, the push to be better, and the constant friendship I enjoy. Aye!

Prayers for Frizzle and Cosmo as they continue their strong recoveries.

October 29th, the Bull!
That same afternoon and the following day, the Making a Miracle invitational provides second and third F opportunities at basefall fields downtown and in Parkwood. See Scappy's post on the #the-piranha channel.
