YCH stumbled across this workout in the exicon ( https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VpzFKsGD4qjEa4G8OtOk8BR9CI21r8n3WXsWECivijY/edit?gid=979163327#gid=979163327 ) a couple years ago, however I hadn't opted to use it, even though it looks like a good structure, and references one of my favorite movies from my HS years – Billy Madison. Then, during my perusing through the backblasts, I stumbled across a backblast referencing Billy Madison. Two were done at conjunction junction by Nightshift, and I initially came across the second attempt, which references the first attempt. Finding the first, I read about what worked and what didn't in order to achieve success, and we were on our way.

WARMUP:
Side shuffle hop – 20 IC, that was it. The adjustments Nightshift made was to shorten up the warmup. I offered folks to stretch out anything else during the explanation of the workout, then we got into it, with Wham-O and Fish and Chips peeled off for an IR workout, dropping our numbers to 9.
THE THANG:
Here is the structure of the workout per the exicon:
"Inspired by Billy Madison's journey through back through school, this routine involves a running loop and exercise per grade. For best effects, perform routine on school grounds. Begin with a loop (ideally single-file line leader style) to simulate the grade, followed by an exercise with 12 reps as the exam. This concludes 1st grade. Run the loop again, followed by the 1st grade exercise x 12 reps plus a new exercise x 12 reps. This concludes 2nd grade. Continue with the loop and adding an exercise each time until you've completed one loop and exercise combo for each of the 12 grades. Great for mumble chatter and telling of high school victories. Celebrate graduation with snack packs for all!"
Using 3 of the parking lot islands near StartEx as our loop, each PAX was assigned an exercise to lead when that exercise came up. Our exercises/grades were:
1) Dry Docks (Hansbrough)
2) Merkins (CopperTop)
3) WWII (Rum Runner)
4) Reverse Lunges (Big Kat)
5) Squats (Go-Getter)
6) Side Shuffle Hop (IC, Gridlock)
7) Alternating Shoulder Taps (IC, Spy Balloon)
8) Peter Parkers (Gambit)
9) Superman (Pumpkin)
10) Heels to Heaven (IC, Hansbrough)
11) Donkey Kicks (CopperTop)
12) Double Pump Burpees

In our senior year, we finished up the donkey kicks at 6:15, and the group collectively decided to knock out the double pump burpees. While YHC had noted the adjustments Nightshift made, I did cause a break in the middle to discuss my potential dehydration with Big Kat. Had that not happened, we'd have finished by 6:15, so I guess this is technically another Q fail, since we needed extra time for our final exam.

Total Rep Counts (936 reps overall)
Dry Docks – 144, Merkins – 132, WWII – 120, Lunges – 108, Squats – 96, Side Shuffle Hop – 84, Alternating Shoulder Taps – 72, Peter Parkers – 60, Superman – 48, Heels to Heaven – 36, Donkey Kicks – 24, Double Pump Burpees – 12.

MARY – No time! Did plank related exercises and WWII/Heels to Heaven, so mary was covered.

YHC took us out with the following message –
"Only the disciplined ones are free in life. If you are undisciplined, you are a slave to your moods and your passions" – Eliud Kipchoge

This lead to an interesting counterpoint from Fish And Chips at coffeeteria, and I think there's room for both in our lives: Not all who wander are lost, and sometimes there's value in letting yourself get lost.
