Roughly six years ago (on July 16, 2018 to be exact), YHC was EH'd by MLP to attend a workout at The Eagle. Ocho delivered a memorable beatdown, and YHC has been hooked ever since.
On a humid July morning, 7 PAX gathered in the gloom, ready for a work-out inspired by Ocho's plan 6 years ago. Please direct all complaints his way. 3 PAX had started their day right with EC pull-ups.
Warm-o-rama (PAX followed the same exercises as from 7/16/18):
25 SSH
10 Willie Mays Hayes
12 Imperial Walker
12 Arm Circles (forward/reverse)
12 Mountain Climbers
Get Cinder Block and head to track. The original workout used the ~200 meter track at The Eagle, along with some playground equipment for pull-ups. So we made a few modifications:
– Jog 200m; 5 Merkins/5 Squats
– Jog 200m; 5 curls/5 OHP with block
– Repeat 3 more times, slightly increasing running speed each time, up to almost full sprint by final lap.
– Reps to 10 -> 20 -> 40
Having run a mile, and completed 300 reps, we put the blocks away, and moseyed across the street, to the steps in front of the parking deck
– Dueling Ocho Pyramids of Dips (IC)/Box Jumps 1 -> 8 -> 1
Run to top of parking deck (slightly too late for optimum sunrise views)
