The original plan for this morning's workout was a tandem workout with DOI, where two OGs use the "Love is in the Air" theme month to profess their mutual love of the suck. But then DOI took up last-minute residence on the injured list. Multiple Pax volunteered to step into his place, and Vila was chosen for the task.
After the usual warmup, the Pax headed off to recreate three prior DOI workouts. No, the merkin roll in a freezing mud puddle wasn't one of them. Nor was pushing DOI's car around an AO. Those were two memorable DOI workouts that will not be repeated any time soon by this QIC. The three that were repeated are as follows …
Hockey Sprints – Run at 25%, 50%, 75%, then 100% speed. Repeat eight times.
Bear Hunt – Partner up. One partner bear crawls while the other sprints in the opposite loop. When they meet, the sprinter wheelbarrows back to the start.
Sally Up – Squat according to the song's instructions. It works out to 3:30 of continuous squats.
Vila took over for the second half of the workout, providing a Charleston flair, which was a cinder block circuit, including everything from Colt 45s, to traveling block squats, to overhead presses, tricep extensions, blockees, and a squat-drag monstrosity. Mary was worked in with leg lifts back and forth over the block, block flutters, hammers, and LBCs.

COT: Even though DOI was not in attendance, an ode to DOI was still in order. Starting before — and including — the launch of The Thicket, YHC greatly appreciates his approach to the gloom and his approach to his fellow Pax. May we all continue to embrace the suck together.
