Five years ago DeanWormer and I were in discussion about how to make a Wednesday workout a little more convenient for ourselves. Those extra few minutes of sleep are precious! And so, Conjunction Junction was born.
It started small, some days just two or three of us. Slug recalled a time over coffee today when he was the only one.
Over time, our little AO has grown up and been led by other site Q's over the years into the always consistent and always welcoming site it is today. To celebrate the fifth anniversary, site Q's past and present came together to share Q duties.
YHC led the warm up. The usual go to moves, SSH, arm circles etc.
Slug led us into some partner suicides, one running while the other did a stationary exercise. First, merkins, run back, merkins again, four times. Partner did flutter kicks. Repeat with lunge jump, partner did shoulder taps. A couple more followed which YHC fails to remember, however there was lots of hard breathing taking place all around.
Mosey to the back of CHHS, where Malware led us.
Step up wall:
Box jump
Box jump from squat
Derkin
Erkin
Step ups
Dips
Mountain descenders
Balls to the wall
People's chair
Tricurious led us back to the front of the school. We travelled across the parking lot, mixing lunge walk with bunny hops. We returned with bear crawl and crab walk. There was much rejoicing.
Mary was led by Wham-O, our current site Q. Sea turtles led by, hello dollies, heels to heaven, box cutters, superman, American hammer.
Reminder for the Wolf this Saturday, 7am at Weaver St, Hillsborough.
Moleskin:
Small acts of imagination can beat fruit in unexpected ways. The act of creation is in us all. CJ reminded me of that today.
Aye!
