Fortunately 2 PAX arrived late and 20 burpees of various kinds were performed.
We divided into teams of 2 or 3. One PAX on each team would perform reps of various exercises using a weight while the other PAX bear crawled up the floors of the Weaver Street parking deck. When the PAX doing the weighted exercises completed all of the assigned reps he would overhead carry the weight and catch up with his bear crawling teammate and they would switch tasks; this was done all the way up the parking deck until the top. Along the way each PAX was assigned an "iron number". We would count off periodically and if a PAX was discovered as missing or kidnapped by the Q the entire group had to sprint to find him. This exercise proved to be valuable as one oxygen deprived PAX actually got lost in the parking deck and during a count off it was discovered he was missing and the group ran to his rescue and returned him to the group. This was not part of the kidnapping drill but a real life utilization of a good field practice The teams then repeated this drill and descended the parking deck to the startex but the mode of travel varied between crab walks, lunge walks and backward walks. Once at the bottom the team took a battle rope and had to bear crawl back up one floor of the parking deck with the battle rope on their backs with all PAX bear crawling in perfect unison. The trip down with the rope was a sprint.
During the COT the Wolf was discussed; the group wished Halfback's M good health and Denali received support for a recent tragic loss. Halfback took us out and reminded us that life is short and that we should enjoy it and live it to the fullest.
