2nd Q of birthday week for YHC. There was some disappointment from Monday’s workout that there was not enough running, so today’s workout would feature plenty of it. 10 PAX today decided to get out of the fart sack and get the hardest part of their day over with.

The Thang: I take 2 steps back and 1 step forward.
It has been a minute since we left the friendly confines of Hillandale Elementary and made our way into Croasdaile Farm. YHC led the PAX down Trailwood to the bottom of what we call Chubb’s Hill. For today’s workout YHC did a riff on the Paula Abdul workout which involves bear crawling and crawl bearing a parking lot. Instead, YHC made use of the light poles along the hill.
Backwards run two light poles, complete 5 merkins, forward run one light pole, and complete 5 merkins. This pattern continued until we reached the last light pole at the top of Chubb’s Hill. We then jogged back down to the bottom of the hill at the intersection with Bittersweet. We repeated the same evolution as before, but replaced the merkins with jump squats.
We again jogged back down to the bottom of the hill. This time, instead of another Paula Abdul, it was an AYG sprint to the stop sign at Croasdaile Farm Parkway. After a few 10-counts to catch our collective breath, we moseyed to the front entrance of Hillandale Elementary to close out with Mary.
