Prologue:

The Winter Olympics had always been YHC’s favorite of the two Olympics. What’s not to love about people jumping off of mountains, shooting guns while skiing, and traveling down an ice track at 80 mph face first. Also, the Winter Olympics was a rare time to be reminded of YHCs Norwegian heritage and how bad ass they are on skis (Go Attacking Vikings!).

There was a dilemma, however.  How to make the workout memorable in a sea of F3 Olympic salutes? There had to be some new wrinkle. There had to be something like… FIRE. And of course, John Williams music.

There also had to be a grand entrance. Hiding the car around the corner, YHC could see a large PAX awaited. 65 degrees in February has a way of doing that. As YHC lit the torch and made the final 200-yard trek to the AO with full trumpets blaring, 27 waited for him in anticipation (or perhaps that was confusion. I’ll never know.).

Two did Murph EC. Three did Ruck EC. Twenty-three showed up completely fresh likely following Duplo into the parking lot at the last minute.

COT:

YHC thanked the PAX for letting him lead them. He shared his realization that F3 is really a leadership development organization masquerading as a workout group. This is a phenomenal opportunity for all of us to get better in a way that benefits all aspects of our lives. YHC challenged the PAX and in particular those who haven’t VQd to signup for one of the upcoming Wall VQ slots. See you next time in the gloom.
