Many of the Churham – Spartan Crew began their taper off of workouts today in preparation for the big event this weekend in Asheville. Godspeed, gents!  We’ve all got your back….WAY BACK.  Though many of the strongest among us have shifted their focus to Asheville, the show must still go on.  It did this morning at the Bullpen.  YHC crossed the 300 workouts mark on the epic mega document yesterday morning, and in search of a workout theme, the number 300 stuck with me.  In our own style, we took inspiration from the Spartan workout created for the cast of the movie 300.

WARM UP – SSH, Air Squats, Merkins, Arm Circles, Imperial Walkers

THE THANG (all completed as a group)

  • Run 0.2 miles to the playground and complete: 75 dips, 75 squats, 75 merkins, 10 windshield wipers
  • Run 1 mile to Durham Bulls Ballpark entrance and complete: 30 dips, 30 air squats, 50 merkins, and 15 windshield wipers
  • Run 0.5 miles to “Major” bull statue and complete: 30 dips, 30 air squats, 30 merkins, and 10 windshield wipers
  • Run 0.5 miles to skateboard park and complete: 15 perfect-form dips, 15 perfect-form air squats, 15 perfect-form merkins, and 10 windshield wipers
  • Run 0.2 miles back to ReCity for CoT

MARY – (sprinkled a bit throughout workout with windshield wipers)

The plan was to collectively complete 300 reps of each exercise, but time and the never-ending quest for perfect form were our two biggest enemies.  The mumblechatter was constant and quite comical.  Guess you had to be there.  All-in-all, we blasted the entire body, covered a good distance, and stayed together for great fellowship.

Welcome to FNG – Scrooge McDuck who was sponsored by Crockett and Mr. Brady this morning.  We hope to see you again soon!

MOLESKIN
