8 Pax showed for a refreshing morning of exercise after a night of powerful thunderstorms.

Warmup: SSH, Imperial Walkers, Cotton Pickers, Diamond Merkins, Mountain Climber, Wide Grip Merkins, Swimmers, Merkins

The Thang:

Today felt like a good time to try a new exercise. We divided into two teams who competed to pull a log across the parking lot and back using a large fire hose connected to it.  When not pulling, the other team members lunge walked behind the log.  We had a slight equipment malfunction when the knots came untied, so YHC will do a better job preparing next time, but overall it seemed like a good back exercise.

We then did two team hose runs around the 200m track.  The four men on each hose had to hold the hose above their head using the right arm for the first half lap and left arm for the second half lap.

Next we wrapped the hoses around poles and used them as battle ropes.  Two men were on the battle ropes, two did max pull-ups at a second station, and the rest did shoulder taps at stations three and four.  We switched stations every 15 IC shoulder taps, doing two complete rounds.

Then time for another hose run followed by diamond (IC x5), wide grip (IC x 5), and regular merkins (IC x5) and mosey to the basketball courts.

At the courts, we did some agility work and other exercises, including:
-one legged hops in diagonal pattern (IC x9 each leg)
-swimmers (x20)
-single leg dead lifts (x20 each leg)
-one legged lunge jumps (x10 each leg)
-diamond, wide grip, regular merkins (IC x5 each type)
-faux jump ropes (x100)

Mary: plank cross toe touches (IC x8 each side)
