WHEN: 11/07/2017

A call to arms was issued by our AO site Q, Sweats. We have 8 weeks of Big Dance left in the year, but no Q’s signed up. He would like 8 different Qs to volunteer during this period. YHC was happy to step up for the first week of the rest of the year.

17 PAX, including one FNG and one traveler from Fort Mill, SC rolled into the parking lot, mostly filling it up. Today is once again election day. YHC was there last year for the muffins and election rigging/obstruction that took place. So when the pollster asked us to move before we started, we politely complied. As an aside, the pollster told us we had to move because the polls opened at 0600. Now, this doesn’t sound right to me, and I suspect we were lied to. She also stated that the people that vote at that precinct were “mature voters.” I assured her that we were all mostly “mature” but she laughed at us. Anyway, cars were moved (except for 2Ply who refused to be told what to do).

The THANG

There are four tennis courts and divided in two, eight half-courts. Each half-court is given a number, 1-8. The PAX are given an exercise to do, the exercise rep factor, and a mode of travel. Travel to each half-court and do the number on the court multiplied by the factor. I thought this seemed easy enough and we even started with a factor of 1. So we run to the first court, do one rep. Run to the second court, do 2 reps, etc. About around court 4, YHC realized everyone was still doing 1 reps. After some motivational re instruction which may have included the phrase “I don’t know how much simpler I can make this for you people,” we continued on our way without further issue.

Set 1: Run, Burpees, Factor 1
Set 2: Bear Crawl, Merkins, Factor 2
Set 3: Lunge Walk, Air Squats, Factor 3

COT
Lunch at Elmos, 2nd F tomorrow. Check Slack 2ndF channel for details.

Welcome FNG Bells. His name comes from his love of beer and his home of Ohio. We considered naming him after an Ohio company. Someone asked “what’s a good Michigan beer?” To which several PAX unanimously shouted “There isn’t one!” So he was named after the Bell’s Brewery in Michigan. Of note, I do love the Two-Hearted Ale they make.
