13 showed up on time and ready to work at the vaunted Honeybadger. The Q showed up 1 minute late for a total of 14. Thanks to Knope for warming up the crew. And thanks to the crew for sharing in the 15 penalty burpees.
YHC gets big energy from Q’ing, in large part because he gets to choose music to share with the PAX. This morning’s selection was “Here Come the Waterworks” by Big Business — a stoner metal band out of Seattle.
The first two tracks are perfect F3 workout jams — Just as the Day Was Dawning (for obvious reasons) and Hands Up (for reasons relevant to the morning’s workout plan).

Notes
—
- Happy talks a lot while working out — it is part of his charm and an integral part of the Honeybadger experience. And he’s frequently hilarious.
- YHC asked Happy to lead the 10 count rest between merkin sets in an attempt to curtail the chatter…and as a social experiment.
- Happy obliged by counting super fast so that he could get back to talking about whatever the hell he was talking about. He counted and kept talking without missing a beat. It was hilarious.
- And it got funnier because he kept doing it, which meant shorter breaks, which meant a harder merkin grind. He eventually figured it out. Laughter ensued.
- Soda called these “Happy Resets” and YHC almost died laughing.
- Sorry for being late.
