I find Westend to be a particularly fun and exciting AO, both as PAX and Q. There's something about that 61st minute (and really the 46th – 61st minutes) that spice things up and really drive home the impact. If you haven't been to Westend, I encourage you to get out there soon.

In preparing for the ME, I had an observation that most of my Q's thus far have required ongoing direction and guidance throughout the ME. I wanted to get out of that comfort zone and set up a rhythm to the workout that I could track along but not actively manage from start to finish. To draw the lines upfront and let the PAX color them in, if you will. I don't think I fully succeeded but I learned a few things in adapting that will be valuable in future Q's. In any case, I had a blast and loved the group that went through the 61 minutes together.

EC: Tricurious and Elwood were brave enough to join me for a bit of an experimental EC. We did 10 minutes of guided Wim Hof style breathing, using his youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tybOi4hjZFQ) . Elwood jumped right in after a 5K, a particularly adventurous undertaking. You'll have to check in with the others to get the feedback but I thought it was a great start to the morning.

Intermezzo:
– Dots drills: I've wanted to do this for some time and finally rolled it out. Imagine the "5" side of a standard die. That's your shape (2x1x2). There are 5 total exercises on those dots where you go for speed and accuracy, hitting those dots. It builds balance and fast twitch muscle performance. They sell mats with the dots on them; for our purposes I had some cutout circles for a demo and we all imagined the dots on the ground. Here's a video if you're having a hard time visualizing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6aXLg2YX0o

Mumble chatter was on point and at some points, pointed. YHC's documentation was lovingly mocked and good times were had.

Back to AO for Mary
– Ring of fire: plans and alternating shoulder touches / toe touches
– YHC prematurely called the day complete at 0630 and was promptly and justly chastised for neglecting the 61st minute. Feedback is a gift. We jumped right back in, ultimately going over one minute.

Announcements:
– Dribble for Cancer Sunday — will be a great turnout for a great event; details in Slack posted by Right-Swipe
– The Bull — details in Slack

COT:
– @yo-yo –> in our thoughts brother! (awesome to see you're back in action playing a gig Saturday)
– Back to School — good vibes and gratitude for all
– YHC shared a mind blowing fact about the natural world, leaving it for PAX to pull any meaning from it: there are ~1,000x more molecules in a glass of water than there are glasses of water in the world's oceans. (Not shared live, but shared here: For whatever reason, that hits me like a ton of bricks … the amount of complexity and awe and wonder and sheer magnitude of life and matter, that we can see and cannot see, that is all around us and within us and surrounds us, just stops me in my tracks and breaks me from my mindlessness).

Brandweins for coffeteria.

Aye!
