I thought that Cosmo was going to make an appearance, so I prepared a beatdown. The night before, he bowed out for work reasons, but I kept the same workout. As usual, I modified my workout, and that included both the warm-up and the ME. I do this for a host of reasons. Sometimes, I'm too zealous and other times PAX need a break. Today was cold with a brisk wind. We were going hard enough that it didn't matter a lot, but it got colder during the workout.
Warm-up:
Slow Merkins with a plank jax ; plank jax, shoulder taps, I think; to tables of restaurant for overhead press and bicep curls; moseyed through garage to stop and occasionally stop to do some exercises;
EMOM:
10 minutes or more first; 5 krakken burpees (three merkins) and 5 spider merkins, add one every minute until no more; go ten minutes; we had to change this because it was difficult to complete the two items in one minute;
Tabata for 10 minutes
1 minute of max perfect form merkins; followed by 15 seconds rest;
1 minute of max plank toes touches; repeat for 10 minutes
***At one point, someone asked if this was just one long tabata.
EMOM:
5 groiners followed by 5 squat jumps with 2 perfect-form burpees; add one each to 10 minutes; we had to double and then add some; this one we didn't get to complete;
Death Star (heavily modified); we made our way down garage and stopping to do 20 diamond merkins at each stop; possibly, we stopped 6 or 7 times
Mary; 25 IC box cutters and 25 monkey humpers IC
I challenged everyone to adopt the January Go Ruck challenge of seven days without social media. 8 made the short trip to Brandwein's and it was very cold.
