The Hills are Alive in BC

November 14, 2017

WHEN: 11/14/2017
QIC: Beano
PAX: Nescafe, Stickman, Rambler, Dueling Banjos, Wreckless, Gomer, Horny Toad, Grunge

Nine PAX began the morning with a temperature in the forties and a light breeze.  YHC had the Q for the Rabbit this AM and made the best of an AO that I geographically know very little about.

WARM-UP – SSH, Arm Circles, Willie Mays Hayes, Carolina Dry Docks

THE THANG  – Hill Run/Boot Camp Combo

In front of the main clubhouse is a roundabout where four roads converge from different sections of BC.  The PAX made use of three of the four roads, as the clubhouse sits at the top of a hill that slowly grades downward on three sides.  The PAX took turns running down and back up the hilly parts on three of the main roads.  The distance down and up was variable each time (1/4 – 1/3 mile)  The PAX would also stop at the bottom and top of each hill to complete some of the following exercises:

  • SSH
  • Squats (Standard or Sumo)
  • Merkins (finger tip, off center, standard)
  • Hillbillies
  • Parker Peters
  • Good Mornings
  • Cherry Picker/Overhead Clap Combo  (Shout out to recent PAX that completed DC Heavy and shared this one!)

The group completed a total of five hill runs (both up and down).

MARY/STRETCH – LBCs, Left/Right Leg Stretch, Flutter Kicks, Half Pigeon Stretch, Hip Flexor-Reach Stretch

Thank you each for a very positive and motivating start to the day!
