Something Classic and Something New

7 Pax showed up for a combination of old and new this morning.

After some standard warm-ups, we re-lived a classic, but brutal, exercise from one of the first Animal House work-outs. Known as the Pink 400, it consists of a 100m each of frog lumps, bear crawl, crab walk, and traveling burpees.  (note: the original, official Pink 400 involves crawl bear rather than crab walks).  PAX finishing early lunge walked with rock overhead to pick up the 6.

We then divided into two teams and raced the Fire Hose Log Pull 400.  This involved running ahead with the hose and then reeling in the heavy log connected to the end.  Take turns repeating until 1 lap is complete, with other team members side shuffling behind the log.

To make further use of the hose-log combo, we then took turns pulling the log up about 12 feet over a rail while other PAX completed a cycle of shoulder presses off a bench, step ups, and stair run.

To bring our distance to 1200m, we then sprinted a lap and headed to the bars for some pull-up pulses (3 pull-ups, rest ~5 seconds, repeat, until nobody could do pull-ups).

Mary consisted of some cross toe touches, pulses of twisted knee ups (while hanging from bars), a ring of fire featuring 5 hand-clap merkins in turn while other PAX held a bear pose with opposite arm and leg held slightly off the ground, wrapped up with a round a flutter kicks.
