You get what you wish for

YHC played Santa on this beautiful Chapel Hill winter morning, asking the PAX to share what exercises they wanted for Christmas. The requests made for an invigorating workout.

*note- There was some irony as we headed into the gloom for a Christmas-themes workout that the Chosen People (Jews) outnumbered the gentiles 3.5 to 1.5, including YHC.

Warm up

Run 1 lap around Hooker Fields complex, SSH, arm circles (forward/backward), body weight squats , Mountain Climbers, and before we hit the road…10 burpees;

The Thang

Our campus tour started with a mosey to the Woolen Gym steps for some dips.

Mosey to the Carolina Union for 2 sets of box jumps and derkins, then we ran the stairs x2 and before moving on…10 burpees.

Lunge walk the stairs to the Union/Pit area for 2 sets of body weight squats and erkins and before moving on…10 burpees

Mosey to Wilson Library steps for some rounds of: Sprint to flag pole/Bulgarian split squats, Sprint/LBCs, Sprint monkey humpers, Sprint/American hammers, and before moving on…10 burpees.

Mosey to ROTC where we set up stations: run the stairs (x2), pull ups, dips, rinse and repeato, and before moving on… 10 burpees.

Mosey back to Union to pick up discarded layers (it got warm early) where we did a 2 min plank and before moving on…10 burpees.

Mosey back to Hooker for some wish-driven Mary: obliques x2, Heels to Heaven, LBCs, 10  more burpees (that’s 70 if you’re counting), shuttles sprints x2,  and a final fellowship lap.

Thoughts are with LP, Alfie, and all those for whom the holidays are not always a joyous time. Keep Uzi and his brothers safe on their amazing ski trip!
