When YHC decided to own up to doing his VQ is seemed like so far away and there was no sense of worry. There was no doubt a bit of trepidation around this one in making sure it went just right. Given the ‘Fieri’ theme there was an attempt to make it ‘full throttle’. The ‘I could eat this off a flip flop’ Flavor Town Games were an attempt to toss in a little fun while also having a smokefest. Hopefully it worked.

WARMUP
SSH x20
Willie Mays Hayes x10
Standard Merkins x 20

THE THANG

Indian Run from circle down Great Ridge (East) and back uphill past circle and then down Great Ridge (West) to playground.

10 Fence Dirkens and 20 Dips

Mosey to briar commons field for the start of inaugural version of Flavor Town Games. First game was F3 version of capture the flag where the Pax divided into two teams, with each doing 5 burpees, 10 merkins, 10 jump squats before bear crawling a tennis ball to the first of four sets of cones. Rinse and repeat to advance each ball to the next set of cones. Goal was to get all eight balls to the finish line as a team.

Q then stated that we’d repeat to return the balls the other way, this time crab walking to each level. (At this point the groans were at risk of waking the neighbors).

Pax then lined up in two lines forming a high plank tunnel. Pax army crawl through the tunnel (a very high plank position is key here!) to post at the other end. Pax went through twice.

MARY

BOM

After joining F3 about four months ago, YHC has quickly found it to be an essential part of life. Leading an F3 workout is an honor and privilege, and new high. Even though this was a VQ, YHC decided to be somewhat adventurous and try something new but balanced. Balance is something we all need to strive for in life; F3 is part of this in that it provides an outlet, fellowship and a great way to stay heathy. Family is another huge part. Spend time with your 2.0s and family. Life goes by too fast and we don’t get do-overs. Take advantage of every day. Be better men, role models, family members and citizens to make the world a better place.
