Introduction:

YHC spent some time on the Exicon and came across the Walls of Jericho. For some reason, I thought that I had not done this workout before, and it sounded awesome. Of course, I neglected to recall that Shake It lead us through the Walls of Jericho a few months back. Perhaps I purged that memory as I did it with a 45# ruck.

Boyardee, Griswold, Marky Mark, and YHC met at 0500 for 20 minutes of running and sprinting, followed by 20ish minutes of pullups. 17 PAX in total circled up for the ME.

BoM:

Jericho was a fortified town. 11 foot tall by 14 foot deep walls kept would be attackers at bay. The people of Jericho could last years with proper food supplies. Long story short, the Israelites set out to conquer Jerich; God set them on a 7 day path. They traverse the perimeter of the wall once each day for 6 days. On the 7th day, they circled the wall 7 times. Upon Joshua’s blowing of the trumpet, the walls came down, and the Israelites were victorious.

It is debatable how much of the above was fact versus fiction. Irrespective of the historical record, many interpret this story as follows… The rocks and mortar of the fortress walls represent fears, doubts, insecurities, and so forth. These heavy weights can keep us confined within stone walls, unable to progress in life. Whether the root of those stones is career, parenting, relationship, financial, or some other area of life, seek out those who are able to counsel and guide you on how to break through those rocks, those walls, those fears. Aye!
