The Wall turned 1 year old this morning and 20 great men came out to celebrate. It is hard to believe that we were debating starting a second AO in Briar Chapel this time a year ago. Soon after we launched The Wall, with the growing numbers, we started to debate a 3rd site which would be The Big House. The expansion in Briar Chapel has reached a point of no return and it’s only a matter of time before we have an afternoon AO. The growth is all due to each man committing to this and getting something back in return. It’s a community effort and 1 man can not do this alone.

Most of the PAX think that I gain pleasure out of making grown men moan and curse me, but what keeps me coming back every week is seeing each man progress, not only in their fitness goals but in leadership skills by taking on a Q or seeing a PAX member’s confidence level grow. I have seen men change in all aspects and it’s awesome. Here’s to you guys!

BOM
We talk a lot about the 2ndF in F3 but do we really have the bonds with each other that we say we do. Do you only know how many pull ups MM can do, that he says he’s not a runner, but then he goes running. Do you admire Boyardee’s guns like YHC does, and that Rambler only sleeps 30 seconds a day probably upside down, and that RG3 will probably hurt himself at any moment. If that’s all we know about each other then we are missing a great opportunity to get everything out of F3. As men we are conditioned to not show weakness and certainly we don’t want to expose any vulnerabilities to anyone else. If we really have bonds with each other then we’re going to have to go deeper than knowing the fitness level or the favorite sports team of the other PAX members. We should challenge ourselves to create real bonds with the men we meet in the Gloom every week. Do we have a strong enough bond that we can ask another man for help, a shoulder to lean on or even an ear to listen to our problems and struggles out side of fitness. We have a great tree of trust, the trust tree, a nest, that we need to take advantage of. YHC has certainly gone through and is going through problems continually, just like every man here. There will be high times and low times. During the High times, help your brothers out, during the lows, lean on that man for help. Till the next time we meet in the gloom. Aye!

Trees of Trust!

Moleskin
Shout out to Hickory (2.0 of Rambler), he’s crushing it out there and he’s a great kid. Dad should be proud, I know he is.
Hickory was handed a grand opportunity to dish out pain to his dad during the wall walkers but chose to go easy on us.
