The 9 Hills of Christmas

Six pax came out on a cool, breezy Christmas morning to burn off a few calories in anticipation of the overeating to come later in the day. They were promised the 12 Hills of Christmas, but time ran short so they had to settle for 9. Here’s what happened:

Warm-ups

Fellowship lap
12 SSH
12 slow good mornings
12 WMH
Calf stretches, hold for 12 seconds on each side

Main Event:

There are 6 hills surrounding Market Street, and the goal was to hit each twice.

Hill 1 – Kildaire – partner up, first partner runs up the hill and back, second does merkins. Switch.
Hill 2 – Aberdeen – same idea, flutter kicks
Hill 3 – Brookgreen – body weight squats
Hill 4 – Greenview – as a group, side-step squats to the top of the hill, jog down
Hill 5 – Aberdeen – backwards run up, jog down
Hill 6 – Kildaire – bear crawl up, jog down
Hills 7, 8, and 9 – with time running short it was time for some hill sprints. Sprint up, jog down, repeat, repeat.

To the benches and walls for cadence dips X 12, cadence derkins x 12.

Mary:

Heels to heaven x 12
Ring of fire, 5 merkins each (where’s the 12 Rudy?)
Some painful thing where you point one leg up in the air and use both hands to pull yourself up to that foot. Nobody knew what they were called, but they hurt. Six on each leg.
