Post-Snowstorm Hills and Steps

PAX: Sweats, Sweatervest, Beano, Roach, Tater Tot, Toolbox, Amphibious, Bushwood, Sal Pal, Porterhouse, Low-Tide, Justice, Smog, Green Egg, Soda Popinski, Chubbs, Crimson, Soybean, 2-Ply, Tuco, Funny Money, Knope, Baggins, Two-Face, Penguin

8 PAX assembled for EC pull ups, KB swings, and squats.  We made it through a healthy battery of all varieties of pull up pain.  We even tried some muscle ups, but that turned out to be a bad idea (shocker). Well, a bad idea unless you are Beano, but most of us are not Beano.  There was no Murph training with Shake It, unfortunately.  As they say in the business, you have to Shake It to Make It.

The ME was all about getting on your horse and getting up hills, sometimes getting down those hills, but keeping a torrid pace the entire time and also managing the PT thrown at you intermittently.  With the snow almost melted, we had sure footing on most surfaces.  No matter what you do with F3, if you put it on a hill, it is much, much harder.  And this is where you earn your stripes.

27 showed up for the ME.  First, we took to the first hill off Science Dr., 3 round trips with 30 merkins and 30 squats.  Then we one-legged hopped (alternating legs as need be) up the hill to the first help light.  Soybean scorched us.

Fellowship pace to Cameron.  We did 10 burpees, crawl bear up the stairs, 10 burpees, bear crawl down the stairs, 10 burpees (followed by 10 with the six).   Hat tip to the GoRuck Heavy for the crawl bear/steps idea.  It is not any fun at all.  All this right outside of Cameron while D1 athletes passersby looked on as they made their way to practice or films, perplexed by our workout choices. Kudos to Amphibious, Toolbox and others for getting the six!

Next, 50 dips and 20 box jump/tuck jumps, then 3 round trips on the stairs next to the lacrosse office, followed by one broad jump trip back up top.  Merlot may or may not have been spilled.

Then we snaked through Koskinen stadium stairs, fellowship pace back to start, and about 30 flutter kicks.

Moleskine: 2nd F this Wednesday, lunch at Gonza.
