16 PAX made their way out of their warm beds and into the gloom this AM to celebrate life with YHC and become just a little bit stronger in the process.  At some point in time in our lives, we all come to the realization that we are not guaranteed today, tomorrow, or 5 minutes from now.  For YHC, that moment came a few years ago, somewhere in eastern Afghanistan.  Since then, I haven’t taken the dawn of a new year for granted.  So, taking full advantage life this AM, I led the PAX through something like a circle of life, which appropriately had a beginning, middle, and end.

• The Thang
  • Mosey to the bottom parking lot/track entrance (bring coupons)
  • Drop Coupons and Partner up.  Lucky for us we had an even number and more coupons then we knew what to do with. (Thanks EC crew!)
    • Beginning – Warm up #2
      • Partner 1 Runs one lap up hill and around traffic circle
      • Partner 2 AMRAP Burpees until Partner 1 returns to bottom
      • Switch
      • 2 Sets
    • Middle – Coupons
      • Teams grab at least one coupon and mosey to start
      • Partner 1 traveling lunges to first light pole (with coupon)
      • Partner 2 run to first light pole and do AMRAP overhead press with coupon or AMRAP Mountain climbers without, until lunge partner gets to light pole
      • Switch, same movement to second light pole
      • Switch, same movement to third light pole
      • Switch, same movement to fourth light pole
      • Mosey to parking spaces on hill
    • End – Finisher (think Liu Kang vs Sub Zero in Mortal Kombat, except instead of fire vs ice, we get bear crawl vs jackass merkins)
      • Partner 1 Bear crawl to the top of the hill, run back down the hill
      • Partner 2 AMRAP Jackass Merkins until Partner 1 returns
      • Switch
      • 2 Sets
