Let’s find a bigger hill

March 23, 2018

WHEN: 03/23/2018
QIC: Griswold
PAX: Grunge, Mothman, RG3, Horny Toad, Dive, Chum, Bright Idea, Spinner, Zook, Nanu Nanu, Goat Cheese, John Boy, and Griswold.

YHC was considering the fartsack for this morning as early as yesterday morning, calling a preparation for tomorrow’s gambler CSAUP. So when Boyardee posted he would be a sick scratch from the festivities, YHC saw a perfect opportunity to force my hand to show up. The idea was to try to have an easy workout before tomorrows much anticipated event, but then YHC realized that getting up at 0500 for “active recovery” wasn’t something he was down with, so the beginnings of a plan started. 13 PAX rolled up to the wall to participate in what that plan turned into.

Announcements:

The Gambler is going down tomorrow at 0800. If you haven’t signed up, consider it strongly. It will be awesome. Chum and all involved put a solid plan together for a great event.

BoM:

YHC had the Q at AMRAP yesterday and after the workout a spontaneous 2ndF/Philosophical discussion ensued between the 4 AMRAP PAX. Several of the things that came up stuck in YHCs head all day yesterday and warranted sharing. Mainly, we should embrace the struggle in life, because that is the beautiful part of life. Complacency doesn’t motivate great people to get out of bed in the morning, the fight to improve does. F3 parallels that thought, the early rising and hard work isn’t so we can be the same man tomorrow that we were yesterday, it is to get better in some way. My message is similar to what it always is, embrace the struggle, own the suck and become a better man, be it in your fitness, your family or your professional life. As always it is an honor and a privilege to lead.
