Good Friday: Hux and his Hills

13 PAX were treated to the significant elevation change which exists just outside of downtown Carrboro.  Hux, enjoying his VQ for #westend, did not disappoint in his delivery (pun intended – Hux is an OB/GYN.)

Warmup:

Arm Circles x 10 (forward/back)

Merkins x 10

The Thang:

Hux requested that we form a line – an Indian Run ensued – down the greenway – behind Fleet Feet – turning right at the railroad crossing – down to the first parking lot on the right – following the trail down to the bridge – then back to the parking lot for our event.

The group split in two – first group sprint down to end of bridge and back (significant elevation change) repeat x 4 (alternating) – while the other group completes four different exercises (Squat/Merkin/Monkey-Humper/forgot the fourth exercise – but it was a good one!)

Once entire group had run through the sprints/exercises – we moved to the bottom of the parking lot for bear crawls w/5 burpees at top – run down parking lot backwards – repeat.

Mosey from parking lot to greenway.

Lunge walk for one telephone pole distance – lateral run (karaoke) for two telephone poles – then sprint back to Fleet Feet.

At this point, Blackball relieved Hux from his first half Q duty, and we were off into Carrboro.

Mosey to parking lot adjacent to Police Station .

5 penalty burpees for group – why not?

Mosey to wall on Weaver Street for a series of dips/merkins.

Mosey to Dwell Real Estate building for a set of Balls to Wall/Chair

Mosey to Carrboro Commons – group split in two – each group had one PAX bear crawl entire length of commons/return with backward run – while rest of group embraced a series of exercises (LBC’s/Squats/Plank, etc.)

Mosey to “Octagon of Death” – rapid fire burpee circle – opposing PAX embracing 5 burpees while rest of group continues with different exercises (SSH/Squats – focus on increased heart rate)

Mosey back to entrance to Commons – two groups – each group sprints the circumference of the Commons.

Mosey back to Weaver Street – stop for 5 burpees at parking lot across from Police Station.

Mosey back to Fleet Feet for Mary.
