The Mystery Q idea, hatched weeks ago in the underground F3 lab, was put into action for the first time on Monday at The Thicket. The surprise dual Qs emerged from the PAX, unveiled their chosen prehistoric theme, and got to work. The opening disclaimer included an important warning: only Skynyrd is allowed to feed the dinosaurs.

EC:

Two PAX met for an EC run, while four met for a little Spartan training (aka, playing on the playground realizing how out of shape they (YHC) are.

Warmup:

Dinosaurs (Jr) love music, too!  Warmup was done to the tune of “Feel the Pain” by Dinosaur Jr.

Take the Dinosaur Train and mosey down to and around the volcano (sports field)

The Thang:

• (RG3) Run from the T-Rex
  • Parasaurolophus (Lunge) Walk across the width of the field
    • Be sure knees touch grass
    • Plank when you finish
    • Last three are forced to do SSH with the T-Rex,  but you’ve got to do it his style T-Rex (smurf SSH)
  • (RG3) Stegosaurus (Bear) Crawl back across the width of the field
    • Plank when you finish

• (Skynyrd) Velociraptor pack hunt
  • Rounds 1
    • QIC throws a ball, the pack runs to it
    • First one there picks up the ball
    • Plank while wait for all PAX to get there
    • 10 single count Merkins in unison
  • Round 2, 3, 4, 5:
    • PAX that got the ball, calls out traveling exercise and throws ball.  PAX travels to the ball
    • First one there picks up the ball
    • Plank while wait for all PAX to get there
    • 10 single count Merkins in unison
• (Skynyrd) Caveman Love
  • Find your Caveman love (aka partner up)
  • Buddy carry lengthwise of field and back (switch as needed)
• (Skynyrd) Cave of Love (aka Tunnel of Love)
  • Form in two groups
  • PAX line up shoulder to shoulder in plank position
  • The PAX on end low crawls through tunnel to other end.  
  • Next PAX follows him through the cave, giving a man’s or more length between
  • Repeat until all PAX have gone through the cave
  • Then do it again, heading back the way you came.
• Take the Dinosaur Train back around the Volcano and mosey back to parking lot
  • (RG3) Dinosaur Jr will take us out with Mary (WW2, Ameican Hammer, WW2, etc.)
    • done to the song “Start Choppin’”
  • Since we didnt do enough work on the arms, one round of ‘Ring of (Discover) Fire’ with 5 count merkins.
