Six men gathered at the southern most outpost on a brisk morning. YHC was out of town yesterday and didn’t appropriately remind the newer PAX to show up this morning, or maybe they were out of town, or listless from too much holiday merriment? We’ll get em back out soon!

Warm up:

  • 20 SSH
  • arm circles
  • 15 imperial walkers
  • 10 cadence count merkins
  • 10 WMH

The Thang:

Today YHC decided a little travel was in order. Mosey a few blocks to the Kiwanis playground to borrow the swing for pull ups. Partner up, 50 pull ups total.

Kiwanis circle driveway becomes four stations at the corners: 10 burpees, 15 WWIIs, 20 merkins, 25 squats, all OYO. Repeato.

Back to the road, lunge walk 100 yards, run rest of block to stop sign. Bear crawl down hill to next stop sign. recovery run to next block across West Street (in view of YHC’s home from 2000-05). Crawl Bear to mailboxes.

Mosey to 9/11 memorial for dips x 10, derkins x 10, step ups (10 each leg), dips x 15

Mosey back to AO for Mary:

  • LBCs (cadence count 15 normal, 15 crossing left elbow to right knee, down, then right elbow to left knee, etc)
  • Heels to Heaven x 10
  • Plank ring of fire, each man counting 5 merkins. HOLD at the end, all men waiting for the R word (recover!)

Announcements: West End continues soft launch this friday. Park at Fleet Feet, AO in front of Rise. 530 launch. 1 hour session. This week’s soft launch incorporates the extra 15  minutes as well as the “limited menu” at 630 of coffee, biscuits, bacon, eggs, donuts. (what else is there?). Also noted that despite the marketing: your site Qs, parking at Fleet Feet, and 1 hour workout, this is NOT a run workout, but follows the traditional boot camp model.
