“Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley.”

Nothing brings in a new week like the dark and quiet parking lot of the Al Buehler Trail where two lonely pull up bars sit awaiting to humble the chosen PAX week after week.  6 were humbled in this morning’s gloom to a variety of pull ups, KB swings and squats.  After 30 minutes of this non-stop fun it was over to the main event for more.  YHC was happy to see a full set of cars yielding a total of 20 PAX, including one FNG (thanks to Justice) who awaited excitingly to hear what today’s post would bring.  One of the joys of Qing is seeing and knowing that the PAX are looking to you for direction, looking to you for instruction, trusting you are prepared, excited to get after it, up to the challenge of hard work in order to make gains and looking to you to lead.  The rewards of leading the men of F3 never disappoints.

YHC’s plan for the day consisted of non-stop work that was intended to be a grind and require a push.  It would allow for different paces but the PAX would essentially stay together and if the finish line was reached it would be easy to pick up the 6.  The finish line was not reached but we made one helluva attempt.  Here’s what went down.

Warm up (all in cadence count) – SSH x 30, Windmill x 10, Hillbilly x10, Mtn Climbers x15, slow merkins x15, jog over the science dr parking deck (our 7 story mountain for the day)

The thang – climb the mountain

Objective – starting with 15 burpees on level 1, run up the ramp to the next level (2), travel across that level by designated means of travel, run down the steps to level 1 complete 15 burpees, and then run to the next level (3), travel across, run down stairs to level 1, 15 burpees, and you got it…..goal was to climb all 7 levels.  We made it to 6 but had to call it for time.  All PAX worked extremely hard – it was an impressive site.

Means of travel by level: 2-broad jump, 3-crab walk, 4-bunny hop, 5-crawl bar, 6-wheelbarrow w/partner (switch 1/2 way), 7-bear crawl.

This was tough as the distance across each level was long and challenging for these means of travel.

Mary – 30 cc flutters

COT

Name-o-rama – welcome FNG Baggins

Announcements – 2nd F lunch on Wednesday 1/24 at Gonza Taco in DT Durham, Riggs may or may not be buying; The Bull is scheduled for Saturday, 4/14 – mark your calender’s and more to come

Closing – Couldn’t start the week any better and thanks to the PAX for making it that way.  Make it a great week.
