A Rameses Circuit Tour

December 13, 2017

WHEN: 12/13/2017
QIC: Gump
PAX: Subprime, Boucher, Appomattox, Lowball, Slug, Honey, Pedialyte, Adolphus, Misery, Avalanche, Draper, Uzi

13 PAX braved the arctic air at Rameses for YHC’s first Rameses Q.  Here’s how it went down.

Warm Up:

Jog to the church and circle up for Side Shuffle Hop (IC) x 50; Smurf Jacks (IC) x 20; WMH (IC) x 10; Slow Merkin x 10; Merkin (IC) x 10; Slow Squat x 10; Squat (IC) x 10.

The Thang:

Back at the parking lot, the PAX divided into four stations.  Group 1—Ring of Fire planks; Group 2—Burpees; Group 3—WWIIs; Group 4—Run to the entrance of the OEC.  The groups rotated when the runners returned.  Each group completed the circuit once. YHC started to second-guess this rotation when the first group of runners seemed to have disappeared and the mumblechatter rose. But, the runners returned, the burn settled in, and the chatter faded away.

Next up, Bear Crawl Corners.  We completed a bear crawl of the parking, always facing downhill.   Starting at the base of the parking lot, Crawl Bear to the top, then plank hold for the six. Lateral Bear Crawl to the other side of the parking lot, and plank.  YHC heard rumblings of possible Merlot here, but alas, no chunks today. Bear Crawl back down the parking lot.  And then Lateral Bear Crawl back to the start.  Lowball showed some serious grit here.

Down to the sand for another circuit.  This time Group 1—Broad Jumps across the sand, jog back; Group 2—Ring of Fire planks; Group 3—Pull Ups; Group 4—WWIIs. Rotate after the jumpers return; once through the circuit for each group.

Rameses just wouldn’t be Rameses without a little time on THWM. We moseyed to the bottom bottom for Traveling Burpees to the first gate, and then run to the top top.

Mary: Flutter kicks (IC) x 50.

Announcements: Subprime is coordinating a 3rdF opportunity to help out with some landscaping at the Outdoor Education Center (Rameses site).  Chapel Hill 2ndF at Top of the Hill tonight.  Churham Holiday Party at The Strowd Friday night.  Bring new toys (packaged, not wrapped) to Friday workouts. Check out The Earl, the new AO in Pittsboro.

Prayers for Bright Idea and M anticipating a 2.3, as well as the other PAX expecting 2.0s.
