“A quarter mile at a time”: The act of living life in the moment. Focusing only on the next strech of road, or next milestone
Dom Torreto (Fast and the Furious) – “I live my life a quarter mile at a time, nothing else matters. Not the mortgage, not the store, not the team and all their bullshit. For those ten seconds or less…. I’m free”
Warm-up
- 20 SSH
- 10 arm circles
- 10 reverse arm circles
- 10 Willie Mays Hayes
- 10 goose steps each leg
- 10 knee lifts each leg
- 10 cross-legged leg lifts each leg
- 10 quad stretches each leg
The Thang
One trip around the track stopping every 100 yards to plank while waiting for remaining PAX and regroup:
- 1st 100 – broad jump (touch ground each time)
- 2nd 100 – bear crawl
- 3rd 100 – crawl bear
- 4th 100 – traveling burpee
Sufficiently warmed up on burpees, we grouped up in 3’s and took turns doing a 10-burpee challenge while the other PAX did SSH’s. The winning PAX East spared 50 LBC’s.
Paired up for a merkin/plank pyramid 10/20/30/40/30/20/10 with each PAX performing each step in the pyramid. While one PAX does merkins, the other planks. Upon reaching the top of the pyramid, YHC called an audible and suggested the PAX skip-step on the way down the pyramid (i.e. 15/10/5).
COT
Find a way to make someone’s day better than it would have otherwise been today.
And, reach out to a fellow PAX you haven’t seen in a while, and see how they’re doing. You made it to today’s workout, and they didn’t. They could probably use some F3 fellowship too.
